Strengthening Cambodia–Japan Strategic Partnership through Sustainable Infrastructure Development

In late November 2024, a delegation from the Royal Government of Cambodia visited Japan to reinforce the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established between Cambodia and Japan in 2023, with a central focus on sustainable infrastructure development.

As part of their visit, JET had the privilege of presenting our ERS system—an innovative technology for rapidly converting organic waste into valuable resources—to the Cambodian delegation, followed by a guided tour of our operating plant. We arranged a site visit to the facility operated by Beru-chan Tachi no O-uchi Co., Ltd., where we demonstrated the system in action. We also facilitated a courtesy visit to Shimonoseki City Hall to exchange insights on local environmental initiatives.

Objectives of the Visit

This visit served to strengthen bilateral goodwill and provide the Cambodian government—especially the Ministry of Civil Aviation—with access to cutting-edge environmental and energy technologies developed by Japanese SMEs. Delegates engaged in courtesy visits to multiple ministries and organizations to assess the potential applicability of these technologies in Cambodia.

Next Steps

Through this visit, we explored opportunities for future technical cooperation with the Cambodian government. JET remains committed to promoting Japanese environmental technology globally and contributing to a sustainable society.
